Contacted Pukka Drains based on reviews, as we had a blocked drain issue. Very glad we did, as Jez was a total professional from the start. He arrived on time, quickly cleared the blockage and went the extra mile with jet wash and CCTV to give complete confidence the issue was resolved. All done in record time. Would recommend him with no hesitation.

Jez Couldn't have been more helpfull if he had tried.

Jez could have unblocked our drains, taken our money and run.

( unlike another local company not to be named did 8 months previously when i had the same blockage)

No!! he had a look around and established our drain was a shared drain meaning it was a southern water problem and it would been their responsibility to clear the blockage.

Jez gave me the number to ring and report the blockage.

Initially called southern water myself and got fobbed off saying it wasn't showing that it was thier drains and I would need to arrange for a private company to deal with it.

Jez phoned back southern water on my behalf, got through to a different call handler 5 minutes later it was all sorted and a reference number given and someone would be out within 24hrs to deal with it.

Jez spent a good 30 minutes with me until he knew it was sorted with no charge at all.

Would 101% recommend Jez @ Pukka Drains

Simon.

Jez did an extremely thorough job unblocking my kitchen drain, which was blocked up with a huge fatberg! Used a variety of tools and techniques to leave the drain sparkling clean! While he was there he performed a check of the drainage system as a whole, before pronouncing it clear. Jez explained everything in detail - how the drains worked, and exactly what he was going to do to clear the problem, leaving me very relaxed and confident that the job would be done properly. The whole job was completed well inside an hour, and the price was extremely reasonable. Jez is a super-nice, friendly and respectful contractor who cares about his reputation and the quality of the service he provides. 100% Recommended.

Excellent service, cleared the blockage and then found cause of it as well, offering really good advice along with camera evidence when it was discovered to be outside our boundary (tree roots!). With that evidence we can ask Southern water to solve it should the issue come back. I'd definitely use Pukka Drains again and will go to them first to quote for future work we have. Highly recommend.

I can't recommend Jez highly enough - 6 stars out of 5. He literally saved us thousands of pounds with his professional advice relating to a blocked domestic drain back in 2022. Honest, hard working and very reasonably priced. I've recommended Jez to everyone on our roads WhatsApp group; not something I do lightly

He arrived on time and quickly cleared the blockage to get the sink draining again, but did not stop there. 10 CCTV drain survey prior to house purchase
Posted 13 March 2022
An excellent service provided by Jez and Craig. This was a drain survey done as one of the recommendations of a structural survey for a house purchase. Jez was able to reassure us and not only explained what he would be doing, he was also able to point out that as much of the drainage was shared, it would ultimately be the responsibility of Southern water. Definitely a company to recommend

10 Unblock a drain beyond my reach.
Posted 09 February 2022
Jez and Craig did an excellent job for me. They were pleasant and professional. They fitted me in round other work, responding promptly. They resolved the issue, I found their charges very reasonable, Jez realised the problem was under a neighbour's decking. With their consent, he carefully lifted some planks and (through persistence and technique) opened a drain with limited access. It wasn't easy! He then removed a sizeable blockage - that included sizeable scale deposits - in stages, to prevent similar happening further along, before flushing the drains clear in both directions. Result!

Posted 20 November 2021
Jez was very personable and worked efficiently to look into my intermittent problem. After spending some time removing a stubborn inspection cover it was concluded that I had successfully cleared the blockage myself with doses of washing-up liquid. As he felt he could not justify charging his standard rate, he insisted that a small nominal sum only was acceptable. I will certainly keep his details for any future work and will recommend him to anyone else requiring a similar service.

Arrived at the time he had agreed. Before starting, provided clear proof of ID and experience, then thoroughly checked drain flow directions. Explained clearly to me what he would do, then set up jet hoses, cleared drains and removed silt and grit debris, flushed through the whole system and conducted successful flow tests into the inspection chamber. All this was completed with no mess at all on the drive or footpath. Job was completed in one hour and the price charged was extremely reasonable. We've had major problems with flooding in two areas of the garden for a long time now. We've had a number of people come out, barely examine the areas, then send quotes running into thousands. Jez was the first person to come out and take a thorough look at the issues and come up with some solutions which not only helped us, but also helped our neighbour. Both drainage issues have been solved and if we have any further problems with the more complex area, we have a backstop plan ready to go.
